We collect indoor and outdoor air samples to measure mold spore levels and identify species present.
Mold Testing includes 1 exterior air sample + 1 interior air sample, covering up to 1,000 sq ft.
Both samples are air samples — we do not currently offer surface/swab sampling.

All samples are processed by an accredited laboratory for accurate, defensible results.

How it works

Schedule online — Book your appointment at dezairqualitytesting.com. We come to your property — no drop-off required.
On-site sample collection — Your Certified Mold Professional collects air and surface samples at your property. On-site time is approximately 30 minutes.
Accredited lab analysis — On-site sample collection takes about 20 minutes total (5 min setup + 10 min per sample + 5 min takedown). Samples are then processed in the lab over 72 business hours (excludes weekends, evenings, and holidays), with your report delivered within 24 hours after lab results are received.
You receive your report — After we receive your lab results, your clear written report is delivered within 1 business day — total turnaround approximately 3 business days.
Rush service is available at three tiers (total price for that turnaround — replaces, not adds to, standard pricing): 3 hours – $775 total (+$225 per additional sample); 6 hours – $650 total (+$150 per additional sample); 24 hours – $475 total (+$75 per additional sample).
Mold testing FAQ
Common questions about mold and the testing process.
How do I know if I have a mold problem? A: Common signs include musty odors, visible discoloration on walls or ceilings, and allergy-like symptoms that improve when you leave the building. Testing is the only way to know for certain what's present and at what levels.
What's the difference between air sampling and surface sampling? A: Air sampling measures airborne mold spore concentrations throughout the space. Surface sampling identifies mold on specific materials — useful when there's visible growth or a targeted area of concern. Most tests include both.
Why is an exterior sample collected? A: An outdoor baseline sample is collected alongside indoor samples so we can compare your indoor mold levels to what's naturally present outside. This comparison is essential for accurate interpretation of results.
How long does mold testing take? A: On-site sample collection takes approximately 30 minutes. Lab processing takes about 2 business days, and your written report follows within 1 business day of receiving results — total turnaround approximately 3 business days.
Is mold testing the same as mold inspection? A: No. A mold inspection is a visual assessment. Mold testing involves collecting physical samples and sending them to an accredited lab for analysis — it gives you documented, scientific data about what is present in your air and on surfaces.
What happens if mold is found? A: Your report will clearly explain your results and what they mean. If elevated mold levels are identified, we can point you toward licensed mold remediation professionals — our role is independent testing so you have unbiased information to act on.
